CPP (Certified Practising Planner) is a certification of a planning professional offered by the planning institute of Australia; Certification is an assurance to customers (whether they be the community, local, state and commonwealth government, fellow professionals and others) that a certified practising planner (CPP) has recognised planning qualifications, required competencies and has maintained a program of continued professional development; CPP is recognition a planner has undergone sufficient training to reach a high level of competency as determined by the planning institute of Australia, the peak body for planning professionals; CPP is the only certification offered to planning professionals in Australia; a certified practising planner (CPP) is a level of achievement by a planner, which is renewable annually; a person who has this certification is entitled to use the letters CPP after their name as they have undertaken, and continually maintain, a range of professional training in order to qualify to be this level of planner
