Mission statement-Mission of the band is to contribute to the cultural life of the community through the performance of the band music. Goals-three goals derive from this mission: a performance goal, a promotional goal and a service goal. The achivement of these goals will ensure that the band plays a significant role in the social and cultural development of Queensland and Australia. Performance goal - to perform and present concerts of the highest musical, entertainment and educational standard. Promotional goal - to promote excellence in band music performance and contribute to the fulfilment of the QUT mission. Service goal - to provide an avenue for music making as an ongoing, active recreational activity for QUT students, high school music graduates and community musicians
